Senior Software Developer – Bluetooth and Connectivity (IdentityGuard Position Overview: As a Senior Software Developer, you will take an active role in the design and development of our award-winning Entrust IdentityGuard authentication solution used by millions of users worldwide.

Develop solutions to create a compelling connectivity experience for smart card authentication and cutting-edge password less experience.

Design and Develop new features on our existing Bluetooth software enabling advanced features and capabilities based on Bluetooth and BLE wireless technologies Define system and software capabilities based on market requirements.

Solve complex Bluetooth issues by analyzing packet captures and referencing technical specifications.

Collaborate with product development, product management, quality assurance, and security teams.

Assist in the estimation of work for the engineering group by defining task breakdown and effort understanding how to combine Bluetooth with other technologies to create unique customer-focused products.

Swiftly investigate and resolve problems reported by peers and customers.

Writing robust and efficient application software using Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy and other wireless networking technologies.

Develop with automated tests ensuring new features have automated system tests to promote rapid and stable development.

Process Work within a team environment using industry standard software processes.

Produce detailed and accurate functional specifications related to assigned projects and tasks.

Maintain a broad perspective and anticipates future challenges and opportunities.

Develop plans and strategies with a global perspective in mind.

Use creative approaches to solve problems.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree 4 years’ experience in C Experience with Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth LE wireless networking protocols Experience developing software for MacOS and 32/64-bit Windows Experience developing highly performing and highly scalable commercial software products Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Preferred Qualifications Working experience with Android / iOS software development for Bluetooth layer Familiarity with Smart Credentials or Smart Cards, PAM Module and PIV and APDU Experience with installer technologies
– WiX.

Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages.

Working knowledge of Windows and Linux.

Familiarity with authentication standards
– FIDO, SAML, OpenID Connect, OATH and RADIUS Understanding of cryptography and software security practices Familiar with Agile ways of working and best practices Interested?
