Procom: Java Developer

System Programmer /Java DeveloperOn behalf of our public sector client, Procom is looking for a System Programmer/ Java DeveloperResponsibilities:Participate in all aspects of systems design, analysis and implementation of a large legacy System and/or development projects Assist in the analysis of requirements, processes and data towards developing and implementing solutions which address business and technical needs.

Analyze and participate in the creation and gathering of business requirements.

Perform quality assurance tasks on their own work, as well as the work of others.

Perform unit, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing as required.

Adhere to quality assurance standards as used in each phase of development and maintenance.

Perform independent verification and validation of software applications and systems function and performance.

Attend project / team meetings and briefings to articulate the proposed design or changes in a manner that makes sense to staff or to reach an understanding and/or solution to related problems and issues.

Support and use the selected agency methodologies and best practices.

Support systems in test and production environments; perform complex problemresolution/debugging.

Prepare the system for releases (production and lower states) and coordinate all changes with impacted partners.

Provide guidance to other members of the team.Mandatory criteria:10 years experience in the categoryPlans, designs and implements applications.Analyses, designs, develops and tests various programmingapplications, including maintaining, coding, testing, debugging anddocumenting application programs.Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience within the last fifteen(15) years working in a large government department/agency, crowncorporation, or private enterprise organization performing SystemProgrammer/Developer level 3 type work.Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience within the last fifteen(15) years in Object Oriented Programming approaches and concepts.Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience within the last ten (10)years with Eclipse framework as an integrated development environmentframework.Must have a minimum of ten (10) years IT experience within the last fifteen(15) years in all phases of the systems development life cycle including theanalysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of ITsystems.Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience within the last fifteen (15) years analyzing, documenting and validating business requirements with the client, IT stakeholders and development teams.Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience within the last fifteen(15) years in each listed Java application development (Struts2, JSPs,JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, WET4, twitter bootstrap, Swing, JEE, EJB, Java XML,APIs, and parsers) within large IT development projects.Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience within the last three (3) years in Web development using Angular within large IT development projects
