Senior Architectural Technologist We are seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist with residential design experience to help build our team.

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team.

Preferencewill be givento candidates with 10+ years of residential custom home experience and a proven track record with residential design work.

Roles and ResponsibilitiesWork with our established processes, and programs.

Be keen to learn new methods and experiences as a team memberProvide design support during the Schematic Design and Design Development phasesProvide supportwiththe production of technical drawings as they relate to ongoing projectsUse Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other software resources to create and prepare accurate construction drawings based on schematic/design development sketchesReview design requirements and offer recommendations to support construction projectsLiaise with the Project Management team to assist in implementing necessary design requirements, as requiredCoordinate drawings and provide information to the teamMaintain familiarity with current techniques and developments to sustain and improve technical skillsThe successful candidate will work in the Ottawa-area office but may be askedoccasionallyto work in the Pembroke officeCommunicate with clients throughout the design process to share updates and answer questions Qualifications and ExperienceMust have post-secondary education or equivalent to a 3-year college diploma in Architectural TechnologyMust be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software with at least 10 years of experience in custom residential work; commercial experience is a definite assetPossesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to pay close attention to details to ensure that work is done correctly and thoroughlyMust demonstrate knowledge of architectural design principles and proceduresFamiliar with Ontario Building CodeMembership in a relevant Architectural Technologists AssociationExcellent oral and written communications skills in EnglishAbility to collaborate and work well with other team members Qualified candidates should contact us by email atinfo@jbell.cawith the subject line “Careers – Job Application”.
